The book is about Josh's first year in NY, his life as a drag queen, and a stormy relationship with Jack, his crackhead prostitute boyfriend. I really enjoyed the way Josh narrated the book. I felt like he was sitting across a table from me, re-telling this story. Some parts of the book were dark and sad but other were laugh out loud funny! I love how he chronicled changing over from Josh to Aqua, his drag queen persona. The book is somewhat raunchy and very detailed so it is not a book for the weak at heart!

Book Review - "I'm Not Myself These Days : Memoir"
I just finished reading I Am Not Myself These Days: A Memoir (P.S.) by Josh Kilmer-Purcell and I have to say I could not put this book down!! The book is about Josh's first year in NY, his life as a drag queen, and a stormy relationship with Jack, his crackhead prostitute boyfriend. I really enjoyed the way Josh narrated the book. I loved his goldfish bra, or was it goldfish shoes? Anyway, I read half the book and he had a ca-razy life in NY! I never actually finished it though.
