Snow on the roof

So all day Saturday I watched all my neighbors climb up on their roofs to remove the snow.  It was crazy!  They had to snow blow a place to put the ladder and then carefully maneuver the snow rake.  When hubby got home we talked about whether or not we should get the snow off of our roof.   Then I watched him go outside on Sunday in boat shoes and try to knock the icicles off the side of the house.  As I watched him slip and slide all over the ground, I decided the risk of our roof collapsing outweighed the risk of him getting up on the roof!
