Baby Names

So everyone keeps asking "Have you picked out any names yet?" To be honest Justin and I have thrown around a few but we haven't been able to agree on any.  And since we don't know what we are having yet, we haven't put serious thought into it.  Except Justin.  He has thought long and hard about it.  Justin's first pick is Kuzay which sounds alot like koozie which is my family's favorite thing to hold a beer.  His argument is everyone will want to hold the baby, just like everyone wants to hold a beer.  I have put a veto on that.  His second choice includes a girl and boy version.  Mac for a boy and Apple for a girl after his favorite computer.  I actually don't mind Mac but the poor kid will have to know he was named after a computer and I am not naming my daughter after a fruit. Justin said to me tonight "What about Cecil?"  I thought about it but I don't really like that.  I asked him why he likes that name.  I swear this was his answer:

"Because that was the name of my favorite strip club in Vancouver"

I think we are going to leave the baby naming to me!

My Loving Husband

So my husband wanted to go out last night to watch the Bruins Game.  He made plans with his cousin Matt to go to the Celtic Tavern in Westborough.  He told me I should come and I went back and forth about it.  When I finally decided I would go, I started to get ready and that is when my loving husband walked over to me, farted, and then whiffed the fumes with his hands into my face.  What did me and my pregnancy nose do?  We projectile vomited everywhere.  Needless to say he went out alone and I suffered from sour stomach for the rest of the night.  What he doesn't understand is what smells bad to him, smells 10 times worse to me.  I have animal like senses when it comes to smells now.  I am fully planning my revenge though I am not sure what can top this!

1st Pregnancy Moment

Yesterday I went to Target to peruse their maternity clothes sections which was an epic fail.  Apparently every Target within a 50 mile radius is doing a remodel and the store was in utter chaos.  No clothes for me.  I arrived at Target hungry, having a low blood sugar, and pregnant.  I walked out of Target with:
  1. a box of Butter Toffee Crunch & Munch
  2. a bag of Peanut Butter M&Ms
  3. a bag of Blazing Buffalo and Ranch Doritos
  4. a package of Airheads Xtremes Sweetly Sour Belts
  5. a box of Jolly Rancher Gummies
needless to say my BS was no longer low after I ate a sampling of all of these!  The funny thing is I don't even like Doritos or any type of gummy candy.  Baby Nuke had a craving and it was my first one.  I gave into it.

Signs Your Husband is More Pregnant Than You- Part 2

Justin came home from work last Saturday crying about how hungry he was.  He said he only ate a sandwich all day(and I am guessing some candies and a can of Coke).  He proceeds to eat this list of food over the course of 3 hours

  1. a Yogurt
  2. a Mango
  3. a Banana
  4. Grilled chicken and salad
  5. Berries and Cool Whip
  6. a Chocolate Ice Cream Bar
  7. Candies
  8. an Everything Bagel with Onion and Chive Cream Cheese
  9. 1 liter of Diet Ginger Ale
  10. 1 Mike's Hard Cherry Lemonade
  11. Dried Fruit
And he continued to complain that he was still hungry long after he went to bed.  Mind you I only ate items 3 and 4 over the course of the night and I am pregnant!

Signs Your Husband is more Pregnant than You

It was 78 degrees inside my house this weekend which is warm but with a fan it felt really nice.  Justin comes home and starts complaining that it is soooo hot.  He proceeds to strip down to his boxer shorts and keeps complaining about the heat.  I say to him your pregnant wife is supposed to be the one complaining about how hot it is not you.   He agrees and brings up the AC to put in the bedroom window which he proceeded to drop out the window.  Once he straightens that all out he turns the AC to 64 degrees.  I slept in a sweat shirt with sweat pants and a comforter on.  Justin sleeps in his boxers with no covers.  I think the pregnancy is starting to wear off on him

Reason #1 Justin loves the baby

Justin gets home from work today and looks at me and says the following

Justin "WOW!  Your boobs look huge?!?!?!"
Me "I know I am pregnant"
Justin "The baby did that?  I just fell more in love with this baby"

And there you have it folks!

Book Review -Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth

My cousin Kerry sent me the book Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth as a congrats you are pregnant gift.  I finished this book rather quickly (only 150 pages) with a big smile on my face!  She made all her experiences so funny, even the things that aren't so laughable.  I am hoping my morning all day sickness is about as extreme as my pregnancy gets!   She explained her birthing story and how all of the constipation, acne, weight gain, made it all worth it in the end.  If you are pregnant or know anyone who is pregnant, this is a great light hearted read that I highly recommend.  Thanks Kerry for sending me a wonderful book!

First comes Love, then comes Marriage....

So I have been on somewhat of a blog hiatus since the end of March.  Justin and I found out some big news and it literally made me sick for a month straight.  We are expecting our first child!  I have had morning sickness morning, noon, and night paired with extremely low blood sugars which have pretty much left me immobile and not much fun.  But there is light at the end of this tunnel.  Dr says only 3 more weeks of feeling like this and I should be in the clear.  As most of you know my husband Justin is a pretty funny guy and since he is pretty much clueless about pregnancy I have listed below the top Five things he has said to me over the past month.  Enjoy!
  1. "You should probably take another test, I bet the positive one is wrong"
  2. "I will believe you are pregnant when you get your mammogram"
  3. "You cannot poop?  Well make sure you don't push too hard, I heard you can die from that"
  4. "The baby is the size of a green olive?  You just ate a jar of olives,  it's like you ate 100 babies"
  5. "Of course Duke is going to bite the baby"
